We don’t charge any fees for keeping your account open, even if you’re not using it, and there’s no harm to your credit report or financial profile to have multiple bank accounts. We encourage you to keep your account open to see what we can do for you next, whether it’s giving you more ways to save automatically or offering an even higher savings rate.
If you’d still like to close your account, we’ll do everything we can to make the process easy. First, be sure to withdraw your funds. You can spend them, transfer them to another account, or send yourself a paper check in the Varo app by tapping Move Money > Mail a Check. You’ll also want to switch all direct deposits and pre-authorized withdrawals to another account.
