The best way to add money to your Varo Bank Account is by setting up Direct Deposit with your employer - that way you deposit into your Varo Money account on a regular basis. Varo offers Early Direct Deposit, which means that you can get access to your hard-earned pay up to two days early*, if your employer supports it.
To set up Direct Deposit, go to your employer or payer’s online portal and enter your Varo Bank Account number and routing number, which you can find in the Varo app by going to Move Money >Set Up Direct Deposit.
If your employer requires a paper form, including an image of a voided check, in the Varo Mobile App go to Move Money>Set Up Direct Deposit with Varo>I need a form. You will be able to generate a personalized form, including an image of a voided check, that you can give to your employer.
Some companies, including Uber, Lyft, and Daily Pay support instant Direct Deposit to your Varo Visa® Debit Card. You can enter your Varo Card information in the payer company’s website or app. While Varo does not charge a fee, you should check with the payer company to see if they charge for instant or daily payment (which would apply to transfers to any debit card, including Varo).
*Faster access to funds is based on comparison of traditional banking policies and deposit of paper checks from employers and government agencies versus deposits made electronically. Direct Deposit and earlier availability of funds is subject to payer’s support of the feature and timing of payer’s funding.
